Artistic and cultural activities

These activities are intended to be a formative complement to all the academic activities of the School. The discovery of aesthetic and artistic qualities from the earliest childhood, the education of the voice through singing, gesture and expression through theatre, are some of the elements that can contribute to the development of the student’s personality.

  • Schedule: Activities will take place during the midday break, except for those with a specific time. The day and time of the activity will be indicated on the registration form when you choose the desired option.
  • Fees: These activities are scheduled for the entire school year. Therefore, the full amount of the course will be charged. Fees for these extracurricular activities will be charged through the school receipt: registration and first quarter, in November; second quarter, in February. Those who register after the quarter has started must pay the entire quarter. If you withdraw before the end of the quarter, the proportional part of the fee will not be refunded.
  • Start: Activities will begin the week of October 1st .

Early Childhood Education

The recipients of the following activities are boys and girls in 2nd and 3rd grade of Early Childhood Education (4 and 5 years old).

  • Music initiation: Cost €138 per four-month period, registration and materials included. Monday.
  • Painting and crafts workshop: Cost €145 per semester, registration and materials included. Thursdays.
  • Chess: Cost €138 per semester, registration and materials included. Thursdays.
  • English Baking: Cost €160 per semester, registration and materials included. Monday or Friday, to choose from.
  • English Dramatic Expression Area: Cost €138 per semester, registration and materials included. Tuesdays.

Primary education

These would be the artistic and cultural activities for Primary Education students:

Piano and solfeggio

Complete exercise in manual dexterity, where at the same time as learning the musical language, we learn to play the piano, creating different melodies. The classes are individual. Cost 588 €, registration and materials included. This activity is scheduled for the entire course. Therefore, the full amount of the course will be charged, which will be charged in the month of November. From Monday to Friday, choose a day, half an hour a week during the midday break.

Area of ​​dramatic expression in Basque and English

The aim is to learn to move with ease on stage, losing the stage fright of speaking in public. It also helps to develop memory and to project the voice appropriately while practising languages ​​such as English or Basque in a fun way. Cost 138€ per semester, registration and materials included. Tuesday or Wednesday, to choose from.

Pastry in English

Developing creativity through fun recipes while expressing ourselves in English and improving manual dexterity with different baking tools. From 1st to 4th grade of Primary. Cost €160 per semester, registration and materials included. Monday or Friday, to choose from.

Painting workshop

Develop creativity and improve manual dexterity and fine motor skills with the use of paintbrushes. Cost 160€ per semester, registration and materials included. Tuesday or Wednesday, to choose from.                                                                            

Chess

It stimulates the ability to analyze, encourages creativity and imagination and, at the same time, trains the memory. It also helps children understand the consequences of their actions. Cost 138€ per semester, registration and materials included. Tuesdays.

Guitar

They learn musical language with different chords to create different songs. In addition, they work on hand motor skills. €162 per semester, registration and materials included. Monday or Tuesday, to choose from.

Urdaneta Choir

The school’s Department of Art Education offers this extracurricular activity with the aim of raising awareness of choral art among participants. It will be led by Izaskun Aguirre and Maite Sánchez, both Primary School teachers. Throughout the year, different pieces will be prepared and participants will take part in relevant school events (celebrations, school parties, etc.) as well as in Fair Saturday. Aimed at students from 3rd to 6th Primary School. Limited places, in order of registration. Free of charge. Mondays from 17.00-18.00.

* Students who carry out this activity and who are registered for the regular school transport service may use the sports bus. Those who are not registered for the service will have to pay a fee for its use. Those who are interested in using the service should send an email to: transporte@colegiourdaneta.com

Secondary

Cost 138€ per four-month period, registration and materials included. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at midday, two half-hours. Possibility of participating in national theatre competitions (Buero Young Theatre Awards).                                           

Urdaneta Choir

The school’s Department of Art Education offers this extracurricular activity with the aim of raising awareness of choral art among participants. It will be led by Izaskun Aguirre and Maite Sánchez, both primary school teachers. Throughout the year, different pieces will be prepared and participants will take part in relevant school events (celebrations, school parties, etc.) as well as in Fair Saturday. Aimed at 1st and 2nd year ESO students. Limited places, in order of registration. Free of charge. Mondays from 17.00-18.00.
